PAGE 9 <br />MAY 29, 1979 <br />REGULAR COUNCIL MEETING <br /> <br />ADOPTION OF RESOLUTIONS FOR STREET IMPROVEMENT PROJECT 162ND'LANE N.W., JASPAR STREET <br /> <br />ETC. <br /> <br />As a result of a valid petition from 85 percent of the residential owners and <br />a duly held public heaping this date, the following Council action was taken. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilman Cox, seconded by Councilman Reimann that a new feasibility <br />study be prepared by the City Engineer for the Pest of the area and calling fop a <br />public heaping to be held June 12, i979. <br /> <br />Motion ~arried. Voting yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmen Cox, Mickelson, Reimann <br />and Sorteberg. Voting no: None. <br />DISCUSSION: <br />Councilman Cox stated he favors having_the Pest of the streets improved. This may <br />alleviate any problems of possible additional assessment on certain properties and <br />if the whole area is done under one project the cost would be less expensive. <br /> <br />Councilman Mickelson stated that this project should p~oceed as it is and if the other <br />area shows a desire fop street improvement it can be added on later. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec said if they could come in. with a petition fop the rest of the area <br />within 10 days it could be added to the present project. <br /> <br />The remaining area involved is: Quartz Street N.W. from 163rd Lane N.W. to 166th <br />Avenue N.W., Olivine Street N.W. from 161st Lane N.W. to 164th Lane N.W., Marble <br />Street from 161st Lane N.W. to 164th Avenue, Kamacite Street from 161st Lane N.W. to <br />163rd Avenue N.W., Jaspar Street from 163rd Avenue to 167th Avenue, 161st <br />Lane N.W. from Olivine to Kamacite, 162nd Lane east of Olivine Street in the north- <br />east quarter of Section 16, Township 32 north, Range 25 west, 163rd Avenue from <br />Olivine Street to Jaspar Street, 163Pd Lane N.W. from Quartz Street to Olivine <br />Street, 164th Avenue east of Quartz in the north east quarter of the northeast quarter <br />of Section 16, Township 32 north, Range 25 west-and from Marble Street to Jaspar <br />Street, 16qth Lane from Quartz to Olivine., 166th Avenue-~from .Quartz to ~aspam N.W. <br /> <br />Motion by CounciLman Cox, seconded by Councilman Mickelson to proceed with the project' <br />as presented and adopt Resolution No. 79-39 Ordering Plans and Specifications. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmen Cox, Mickelson, Reimann <br />and Sorteberg. Voting no: None. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilman Reimann and seconded by Counci~nan Mickelson to adopt Resolution <br />No. 79-q0 to Advertise for Bids with ~he bid opening to be held on July 29, 1979 at <br />lO:O0 A.M. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmen Cox, Mickelson, Reimann <br />and Sortebemg. .Voting no: None. <br /> <br />VERA MCGREGOR REGARDING INDUSTRIAL REVENUE BONDS~ FOR 0~F~SALE~'LIQUOR 'STORE <br /> <br />Mrs. McGregor appeared before Council with Mm. jack Prill of Mortgage Associates, <br />(bond consultant). <br /> <br />Motion by Councilman Reimann and seconded by CounciLman Mickelson to adopt Resolution <br />No. 79-q2 giving preliminary approval to a project under the Municipal Industrial <br />Development Act; referring the proposal to the Commission'of'SecuPities foP'Approval <br />and authorizing execution of a "Memorandum of Agreement" and preparation of the <br />necessary documents. <br /> <br /> <br />
