7:30 A.M. <br />May 31, 1979 <br /> <br />The Council Personnel Committee met at the above stated time and date, <br />at the Ramsey Municipal Center~ <br /> <br />Members present: Mr. Gary Reimann <br /> Mr. Arnie Cox <br /> <br />Others in attendance: Mr. Ken Peterson: Chairman of the Planning Commission <br /> Mayor Tom Gamec <br /> Lloyd G. Schqelle, City Administrator <br /> Clayton Berg, Building Inspector <br /> <br />PARTTIME EMPLOYEE STATUS; CASE OF ARLENE STAFFORD:~~ <br /> ? <br />The City Administrator requested that Arlene Stafford's part time status <br />be increased from 16 hours per week (which was established on December 18, <br />1978 by Council) to 35 hours per week. He stated the 16 hours has never <br />been followed due simply to the work load. <br /> <br />The Council Personnel Committee recommended that it be submitted to the <br />full Council for their approval. <br /> <br />FUNERAL LEAVE; CASE OF SHEILA BEYER <br /> <br />The City Administrator pointed 6ut to the Personnel Committee that due <br />to the traumatic tragedy that happened to Sheila Beyer when her parents <br />were killed in the accident, that he had extended her funeral leave from <br />three days to five days. <br /> <br />He stated the City Ordinance provides for three days funeral leave which <br />is subtracted from the individual sick leave. <br /> <br />He stated in Sheila's. case she did come to work at the expiration of <br />three days funeral leave, however, he sent her home as she was in no <br />condition emotionally to be at work. <br /> <br />The Personnel Committee approved of the two day sick leave extension and <br />that it be subtracted from Mrs. Beyer's sick leave time as funeral leave. <br /> <br />SECRETARY TO PLANNING COMMISSION:/ <br /> <br />Mr. Ken Peterson, Chairman of the Planning Commission, requested that <br />Arlene Peddycoart be hired on a part time basis to be the Planning Comm- <br />ission Secretary. He stated at the present time Kathy Schneider, who <br />is a Planning Commission member, performs this duty, however, due to the <br />work l°ad it has become too much for her to handle in.just taking the <br />minutes. He stated many things have generated the work load at the P g Z <br /> <br /> <br />
