TO: Mayor and City Council <br /> <br />FROM: City Administrator <br /> <br />RE: Informational <br /> <br />Enclosure (D4-a) Environmental Quality Board's letter dated May 21,~ 1979 <br /> (D4-b) Planning and Zoning minutes dated April 2, 1979 <br /> (D4-c) Notice of public hearing and application for variance <br /> <br />CASE #1: HEDSTROM ELECTRIC REQUEST FOR VARIANCE ON BUILDING SETBACKS: <br /> <br />Problem: Mr. Hedstrom wants to add the following addition to <br />his buildings and..construct a pole building for a garage <br />located at his.present commercial area 6260 Highway #10. <br /> <br />a) He wants to add a 60 foot addition to.his present cement <br />block building which has only a one foot setback from the <br />property line. The zoning ordinance requires a l0 foot setback. <br />Consequently, he needs a variance from the ordinance. <br />b) He wants to add a 40 foot addition to the present metal <br />building which has only a one foot setback from the property <br />line. Consequently, he needs a variance from the ordinance. <br />c) The proposed garage which is adjacent to residential re- <br />quires a 60 foot setback he shows only 27.feet. Consequently, <br />he needs a variance of 33 feet. <br /> <br />I'm enclosing the following information on this case for your <br />review: <br /> <br />a) Enclosure (D4-a) Environmental Quality Board's letter <br />dated May 21, 1979. <br />b) Enclosure (D4-b) Planning and Zoning minutes dated April 2, <br />1979. <br />c) Exhibit #4 plans and specifications <br />d) Enclosure (D4-c) Notice of public hearing.and application for <br />variance. <br /> <br />This has to go back to the Planning Commission for their review <br />after your action. Please refer to enclosure (D4-b). <br /> <br /> <br />
