Citizen Input <br />There was none. <br />Motion by Councilmember Shryock, seconded by Councilmember Kuzma, to close the public <br />hearing. <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Strommen, Councilmembers Shryock, Kuzma, Johns, <br />Riley, and Williams. Voting No: None. Absent: Councilmember LeTourneau. <br />The public hearing was closed at 7:10 p.m. <br />Council Business <br />Councilmember Kuzma stated that during the worksession, the Council reviews the information <br />in detail and has extended the CIP to ten years to provide a longer -term plan. <br />Motion by Councilmember Kuzma, seconded by Councilmember Johns, to Adopt Resolution <br />#17-01-006 Adopting the 2017-2026 Capital Improvement Plan (CIP). <br />Further discussion: Mayor Strommen stated that when she began here it felt like they were <br />simply checking the box on the CIP and feels that has changed in her time with the Council. She <br />stated that staff and the Council have done a great job to turn this into a great planning document <br />and the tool that it is. <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Strommen, Councilmembers Kuzma, Johns, Riley, <br />Shryock, and Williams. Voting No: None. Absent: Councilmember LeTourneau. <br />7. COUNCIL BUSINESS <br />7.01: Consider Adopting Resolution #17-01-020 Granting Interim Use Permit for Gravel <br />Parking Lot Expansion at 7575 Highway 10 NW; Case of M & G Trailers (Project <br />No. 16-117) <br />City Planner Anderson reviewed the staff report and recommendation of staff and the Planning <br />Commission to approve the Interim Use Permit contingent upon amendments as outlined in the <br />Staff Review Letter, with a sunset clause that will expire the permit upon acquisition or if the <br />parcel is determined not to be needed for public purpose in the future. <br />Councilmember Kuzma stated that if this parcel is no longer needed for the highway expansion <br />and the permit expires would the applicant then need to come back with a request to pave the <br />area. <br />City Planner Anderson confirmed that the permit would expire at that time and the applicant <br />would either need to vacate that use or bring back a request to improve that area to allow for the <br />activity under City Code. <br />City Council / January 10, 2017 <br />Page 6 of 11 <br />
