Consensus of the Council is that the fence be placed no less than five feet
back from the property line.to allow for mowiDg on both sides of the fence.

Discussion held on whether to leave Building No. 3 as proposed for a possible
drive around it, or to run it back to the fence to eliminate any storage
behind it.

Discussion held also on the type of fence. A wooden fence looks nicer and
is a better sound barrier but there is upkeep, versus a basket-weave.metal
fence which would require less maintenance.

It was noted that the plan submitted for record is marked Exhibit No. 1'.

Motion by Councilman Cox, Seconded by Mayor Gamec to allow'a variance to
Section 170.013D of the City Code to permit a one foot setback as proposed
for the cement block building marked No. 1 on the plan presented~and marked
Exhibit No. 1, and the same allowance on the existing storage building marked
No. 2 on Exhibit No. 1.

Motion carried, voting yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmen Cox, Mickelson, Reimann
and Sorteberg. Voting no: None.

Motion by Councilman Cox, seconded by Mayor Gamec to allow a variance to Section
170.013A for a variance of 33 .feet for the proposed storage building on the
south side of the property on Front Street and which is marked Building No. 3.

Discussion noted that granting of theSe variances doesn't include action by the
City Council in regard to the screening or other matters that pertain to this
proposal.

Motion carried. Voting yes: Mayor'Gamec,% Councilmen Cox,-Mickelson, P~imann
and Sorteberg. Voting no: None.

Motion by Councilman Cox, seconded by Mayor Gamec that this proposal will be
referred to the Planning & Zoning Commission for their review of the following:

1. A 6 foot fence with as much sound abating qualities as possible.
2. P~view ~f the parking facilities
3. Allowing not less than a five foot setback, for the fence from the property line.
4. Review of the drainage.
5. Exterior appearance of all buildings.
6. Address how this affects the existing septic system.

Planning and Zoning recommendations are to be referred back to the City Council
for their review before entering into the development contract.

Motion carried. Voting yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmen Cox, Mickelson, Reimann
and Sorteberg. Voting no: None.

-2-

~t

6/11/79
