Date of preparation - 8/28/79 <br />Date of Council Review - 9/10/79 <br /> <br />e <br /> <br /> CITY OF RAMSEY <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />Findings of Fact re: Jack Menkveld <br /> Zoning Amendment <br /> <br />The applicant has applied to have the City's Zoning Ordinance <br />amended so as to cause his property legally described as: <br /> <br />NE 1/4 of NE 1/4 Section 29, Township 32, Range 25,and <br /> <br />SE 1/4 of NE 1/4 of Section 29, Township 52, Range 25, subject <br />to easement to Rural Coop Power Assn. except five acres to <br />Highway, except part South of Highway. <br /> <br />Located in the Transitional area of the City to be rezoned to <br />I-1 Industrial. <br /> <br />That the applicant appeared before the Planning and Zoning <br />Commission on August 6, 1979, at which time the Commission <br />adopted findings of fact and a motion, which findings of fact <br />are hereby incorporated by reference. <br /> <br />That the City Council held a public hearing on the application, <br />pursuant to the City Zoning Chapter. That said public hearing <br />was properly advertised and was held on August 27, 1979. That the <br />minutes of that public hearing are hereby incorporated by reference. <br /> <br />That the proposed rezoning would be an amendment to the City's <br />Comprehensive Plan as amended. <br /> <br />That this area of land is situated adjacent to U.S. Highway No. 10 <br />and is surrounded on each side by land zoned I-1 Industrial. <br /> <br />That the proposed rezoning amendment will not adversely affect <br />the City's health, safety and welfare and in order to insure the <br />safety of the City's residents, restrictive covenants regarding <br />the future uses of the property have been provided by the <br />developer. <br /> <br />That this proposed amendment will provide a buffer between the <br />railroad tracks and residential development. ~ <br /> <br />MOTIOn: To adopt the above findings of fact and to amend the <br />Comprehensive Plan in accord with said findings ami to amend the City's <br />Zoning Map to implement this comprehensive plan amendment. <br /> <br /> <br />
