PUBLIC HEARING <br /> CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof the Ramsey City Council held <br />a publid hearing at the Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Boulevard <br />N.W., Ramsey, Minnesota 55303, on October 9, 1979. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec <br />Councilman Cox <br />Councilman Mickelson <br />Councilman Reimann <br />Councilman Sorteberg <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />Adm. Schnelle <br />Engr. Raatikka <br />Atty. Goodrich <br /> <br />M3yor Gamec called the hearirgto order at 5:59 P.M. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec explained the reason the hearing is conducted is to review <br />the Assessment for 156TH AVENUE BETWEEN VARIOLITE STREET ANDARMSTRONG <br />BOULEVARD. He explained that the project is complete except for restoration <br />of ditches, matching of driveways, repair of corners, etc., he explained <br />the City's driveway policies. <br /> <br />Engineer Raatikka reviewed the project and the cost summary. <br /> <br />Cy Poo~, 7830 156th Avenue, asked what is the thickness of the road. <br /> <br />Engineer Raatikka replied they check out to average over 1½ inches. <br /> <br />Mr. Poole questioned if this thickness ~uld support heavy trucks that <br />go over it. <br /> <br />Engineer Raatikka replied that it should if there is a good base under <br />it and there is a year guarantee on the road by the contractor. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec said the City is considering posting the streets for load limits. <br /> <br />Cy Poole feels that garbage trucks will be breaking up the'rOad because <br />i.t isn't as wide as~ i.t was. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec said a letter is being sent out to Ace on the garbage cans <br />being placed on the side of the' roads. <br /> <br />Mr. Poole askedif they were to leave the mailboxes where they are now. <br />Mayor Gamec said he wohld haVe to check this out with the Post Offide. <br /> <br />Mr. Poole asked if it is correct that they'have a mnth in which to pay <br />for the assessment at the City Hall. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec replied yes. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilman Re.ima~ nn and seconded by Councilman Cox to close <br />the hearing, <br /> <br /> pUBLIc HEARING <br /> 156TH AVENUE BETWEEN VARIOLITE ST. & <br /> ARMSTRONG BLVD. <br /> October 9, 1979 COUNCIL <br /> <br /> <br />
