TO: Mayor and City Council <br /> <br />FROM: City Administrator <br /> <br />RE: Council New Business <br /> <br />Enclosure (D3-a) <br /> <br /> ( ) <br /> (D3-c) <br /> <br />Current rates and new proposed rates for 1980 on <br />health insurance <br />Hermepin County's comments on bids <br />Comparison of benefit offered by different groups <br />on insurance <br />Information on tax forfeit land <br /> <br />CASE #1: <br /> <br />RON ~ER REQUEST TO CUT DOWN DEAD TREES IN CITY PARK: <br /> <br />Mr. Ron Kramer (address 17820 Halas Street N.W.) is re- <br />questing permission to cut down dead trees in Autumn <br />Heights Park. <br /> <br />If Council is going to grant permission for people to cut <br />down dead trees in our parks, we should establish a <br />policy to control it. Now our liability insurance will <br />cover the City if someone is injured in the process of <br />cutting down a tree. <br /> <br />CASE #2: HEALTH INSURANCE: <br /> <br />Bids are in on the Henmepin County Group Health Insurance <br />and the following is f.urnished for your information: <br /> <br />a) Enclosure (D3-a) gives each health groups current rates <br />and the new proposed rates for 1980. <br />b) Enclosure (D3-b) contains the Comnty's comments on <br />bids. <br />c) We now have open enrollment between November 26 and <br /> <br />December 7, 1979. <br />d) Enclosure (~3-c) gives you a comparison of benefits <br />offered by the different health group insurance. Ail <br />employees will be receiving a copy of this and the rate <br />increases for 1980. <br /> <br />0ASE #3: <br /> <br /> TAX FORFEIT LAND: <br />Enclosure (D3-d) is provided for your interest if you <br /> desire to take over certain parcels of tax forfeit land. <br /> <br /> ow, it should be noted the City~take action on parcel <br /> 950. However, you haven't taken any action on parcel <br /> 200 and 300. <br /> <br /> <br />
