~ote 1:

It is reco~nended that the Police Patrol Officers. inc/eases
be granted in the increments as shown below.

Jan-April May-August Sept-Dec Total Yearly
1st year 1328 1347 1371 $16,184
2nd year 1447 1468 1494 17,636
3rd year 1566 1589 ]617 19,088
Top patrol 1685 1710 1740 20~540

The above raises will bring our Police Officers in line with
the surrounding communities as we indicated last year, that
we wanted to reach.

Note 2:

The proposed 1980 salary rate for the Chief of Police is $23,520.
However the midpoint for his salary range is $24,675, which
means he is.still below the midpoint for his salary range and
technically he should be at the midpoint.

Note 3:

The Public Works Super~;isor salary rate is $21,090 and his
salary midpoint if $21,590, which means he is only $500 from
his midpoint. However in Merle's case he should be over his
midpoint as he is doing an outstanding job and has been for
a long time.

Note 4:

Jeanne Moen's salary reflects the 9% cost of living and an 11%
salary adjustment. Even with this salary adjustment we are .
not bringing this outstanding employee up to her midpoint.
When you have an employee of this cal~bur its not unusual
to exceed the midpoint in their salary range. ConseqUently
I strongly recommend you grant this raise to this employee
in the increments shown below, as she is doing an outstanding
job in a very technical field.

Jan-April May-August Sept-Dec Total Yearly

1000 1041 1084 $12,500

Note 5:

Arlene Peddycoart is doing as outstanding ~ob aR a Planniqg
Aide. Accordingly, even with this salary adjustment we are
not bringing this fine employee up to her midpoint salary range.
I recommend that the increase be granted in the increments as
shown below.

Jan-April May-August Sept-Dec

883 920 958

Total Yearly
$11~044
