<br />Councilmember Johns introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #17-01-031 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING AN INTERIM STRUCTURE FOR THE COMMUNITY <br />DEVELOPMENT DEPARTMENT <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, <br />in order to progress several long term and strategic policies directed by the <br />City Council and to maximize effectiveness of time and talent within the Community <br />Development Department, the City is recommending an interim structure for the Community <br />Development Department; and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, <br />an interim structure for the Community Development Department will also <br />increase continuity within the department; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, <br />an interim structure for the Community Development Department will also <br />increase communication and administration for the Planning Commission; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, <br />an interim structure for the Community Development Department will also <br />increase communication with the public for timely updates on development related projects; and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, <br />the proposed interim structure is budget neutral. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA <br />COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1) That the City of Ramsey hereby authorizes an interim structure for the Community <br />Development Department assigning leadership of the Planning Division to the City <br />Planner and assigning leadership of the Building Division to the Building Official; and, <br /> <br />2) That the City of Ramsey hereby approves a wage adjustment for the City Planner to <br />$36.81 in the form of a stipend; and, <br /> <br />3) That the City of Ramsey recently approved a market rate adjustment for the Building <br />Official previously, and no wage adjustment is being proposed at this time. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Shryock, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br /> Mayor Strommen <br /> Councilmember Johnson <br /> Councilmember Shryock <br /> Councilmember Kuzma <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
