methane gas that is being generated at the existing Ramsey Landfill. The total <br />amount of this grant is $100,000. Waltek, Inc. has been approached for two <br />reasons: 1) He is an existing company who is located close to the Landfill and <br />2) He is considering enlarging his present facilities due to the business demands. <br />Major concerns are that Ramsey will be able to take advantage of this grant into <br />developing a use of the methane energy that exists at the Ramsey Landfill. <br /> <br />Commissioner Fults left the meeting at 8:45 a.m. <br /> <br />Case #4: Nomination to Fill Vacant Position on Economic Development Commission: <br /> <br />The minutes of the last EDC meeting reflected the nomination of Mr. Arnie Cox to <br />fill the vacancy left by Mr. Darrell Jensen on the Commission. His name will be <br />submitted to the City Council. <br /> <br />ADJOURNMENT <br /> <br />Chairman Greenberg stated that the next Economic Development Commission meeting <br />will be on Wednesday, January 12, 1982 at 7:30 a,m. and will be held at the <br />Gateway North Industrial Airport. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Sentryz and seconded by Commissioner Menkveld to adjourn <br />the meeting. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting yes: Commissioners Sentryz, Menkvetd, Greenberg, Schmidt, <br />Miller, Muller and Guy.
