Councilmember Riley introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> RESOLUTION #16-10-209 <br /> RESOLUTION TO HIRE A FALL SEASONAL WORKER <br /> WHEREAS, Annually the City employs Seasonal Public Works Maintenance Workers to <br /> work during the summer and fall months in the Parks, Streets, and Utilities Divisions of Public <br /> Works; and <br /> WHEREAS, staff has found a significant benefit to seasonal public works maintenance <br /> workers; and <br /> WHEREAS, staff selected one qualified entry level fall seasonal candidate; and <br /> WHEREAS,the candidate passed the pre-employment screening; and <br /> WHEREAS, staff recommends hiring the candidate listed below. <br /> NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> 1) Motion to adopt resolution 416-10-209 to hire Mr. Mark Silbernagel at $10.00 per hour, <br /> effective October 13, 2016. <br /> The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br /> LeTourneau, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> Mayor Strommen <br /> Councilmember Riley <br /> Councilmember LeTourneau <br /> Councilmember Johns <br /> Councilmember Kuzma <br /> Councilmember Shryock <br /> Councilmember Williams <br /> and the following voted against the same: <br /> None <br /> and the following abstained: <br /> None <br /> and the following were absent: <br /> None <br />
