b) <br /> <br />City Administrator Schnelle informed the Commission that the City <br />Assessor, Lester Wirz, has determined the average rent per acre of <br />tillable soil to be $21, based on a survey that he conducted. <br /> <br />c) <br /> <br />Councilman Cox explained that what this means is that taxes that used <br />to be based on a valuation of $1,200 per acre not under the Green Acres <br />Law and $500 under the Green Acres Law, are now being taxed on a $375 <br />acre valuation,subject to change by the County Assessor. <br /> <br />Elections - City Administrator Schnelle stated that the City of Ramsey <br />is trying to get the "Meet Your Candidate" meeting set up, This would <br />give the citizens of Ramsey a chance to meet those candidates running <br />for the offices of 1st District County Commissioner and the Senate and <br />House seats. <br /> <br />The next regular meeting will be on September 8, 1982 at 7:30 a.m. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Miller and seconded by Commissioner Guy to adjourn the <br />regular meeting of the Economic Development Commission, <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting yes: Commissioners Miller, Guy, Muller, Menkveld, Fults <br />and Schneider.
