Councilmember LeTourneau introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> RESOLUTION #16-11-232 <br /> RESOLUTION TO HIRE TEMPORARY SNOW PLOW DRIVERS <br /> WHEREAS, annually the City employs Temporary Snow Plow Drivers to provide <br /> general maintenance of public streets, parking lots and any other municipal related facilities <br /> and/or equipment including snow plowing of public streets,trails, and walks; and <br /> WHEREAS,temporary Snow Plow Drivers are not required to hold a Commercial <br /> Driver's License as they are not driving a commercial vehicle; and <br /> WHEREAS, staff conducted the annual hiring process and selected 6 qualified <br /> candidates; and <br /> WHEREAS, all candidates passed the pre-employment screening process; and <br /> WHEREAS, staff recommends hiring the following 2016-2017 Temporary Snow Plow <br /> Drivers: Tim Barrett, Craig Blake, Luke Blanch, Adam Gordon, Taylor Moshier, and Keith <br /> Noreen, all at $13.00 per hour, effective on or near November 10, 2016 which includes time for a <br /> paid orientation meeting. <br /> NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> 1) Motion to adopt resolution#16-11-232 to hire the following employees: Tim Barrett, <br /> Craig Blake, Luke Blanch, Adam Gordon, Taylor Moshier, and Keith Noreen, all at <br /> $13.00 per hour, effective on or near November 10, 2016 which includes time for a paid <br /> orientation meeting. <br /> That the motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br /> Kuzma and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor: <br /> Mayor Strommen <br /> Councilmember LeTourneau <br /> Councilmember Kuzma <br /> Councilmember Johns <br /> Councilmember Riley <br /> Councilmember Shryock <br /> Councilmember Williams <br /> and the following voted against the same: <br /> None <br />
