Councilmember LeTourneau introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #16-11-230 RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BIDS AND AWARDING CONTACT FOR RAMSEY MUNICIPAL COMPLEX SITE DEMOLITION WHEREAS, pursuant to a resolution of the City Council adopted August 23, 2016, the City Council accepted final plans and specifications and authorized advertisement for bids for said project; and WHEREAS, bids were received, opened, and tabulated on November 14, 2016, and the following bids were found to comply with the advertisement for bids; and Contractor Total Bid DRC, Inc. $119,500.00 Sauter& Sons, Inc. $137,500.00 Dryden Excavating, Inc. $138,391.00 Landwehr Construction, Inc. $144,875.00 Rachel Contracting, Inc. $163,274.00 Veit& Company, Inc. $219,963.64 WHEREAS, the bid of DRC, Inc. of Minnetonka, Minnesota, in the amount of $119,500.00 for the total bid for said project in accordance with the approved plans and specifications and advertisement for bids, is the lowest responsible bidder and their bid shall be and hereby is accepted. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA: 1) The Mayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract with said bidder for said project for and on behalf of the City of Ramsey. 2) The City Administrator is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders the deposit made with their bids as such time that a contract has been executed. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Riley, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Strommen Councilmember LeTourneau Councilmember Riley Councilmember Johns Councilmember Kuzma Councilmember Shryock Councilmember Williams
