Staff is looking to contract
a nature educator or naturalist to lead the outdoor program in parks, with potential topics ranging
from environmental stewardship and birding, to advocacy for pollinators and outdoor recreation.
Staff also met to discuss a grant application for interpretive signage through the Minnesota
Historical Society. Signage may include history of Trott Brook Cemetery and Old Town Hall, as
well as the story of evolving human transportation over the millennia along, and including the
Mississippi River Trail. Interpretive signage is to increase awareness of Ramsey history and to
ensure preservation of community knowledge. The grant being explored would be for $10,000
with no local match necessary.
Ramsey's Warming House Facilities Closed for the Season.
