The Development Guide chapter on Sewers also has special significance
in the development of a thoroughfare plan. Those areas within the
projected sewage zone will have the highest potential for development
and will require an improved County arterial system to support this
development. One of the parameters for staging the construction or
re-construction of elements within the County arterial system, then,
should be the staging of elements in concert with the Metropolitan
Sewer Plan.

The chapter on Open Space also has significance in the development of
a County arterial system. The elements within this Open Space Chapter
should be evaluated together with the Anoka County Park Plan, as
illustrated in Figure 8. These two planning documents identify areas
which should be served by the County arterial system to provide access
to users and areas through which no new arterials should be developed.

I
I

I
I
I

24

I
I
I
I
I
I
I
