We have not recet'C'~'d payment from the Board ~ Ad,~ustment aPDell'ants ~or the fee. The Clerk was directed to bill .the attorney of the appellants in the normal proceedure .for this amount. This bill will be sent to the attorney .for the appellants. Hematite Church: Report that the church is making the corrections 'indicated by the State Building Inspector. The State Inspector did not feel the width of the stairway was important but he felt the height of the stairway should be made 6 feet ~ inches. The church should discuss a zoning certificate from the City because of the change in the use of this building. Mr. Cox said it was ~_,n~ortunate that this situation came about because of the expense to the people of the church and to the neighborhood. The church should apply for a zoning certificate for the change in the use of this building. The Building Inspector will prepare a report on this matter and bring it to. the next Council meeting.. We will advise Rev. Reed that it will be discussed at that time. KOA has a sign just west of Hwy. 56. Check with the State on this. No turn-around on Hwy. 56 st the beauty parlor. We will ask the Building Inspector to go out to the beauty, parlor to advise them of ilthis matter. Discussion on municipal site. It was agreed that the price is O.K. The location is O.K. The legal description is O.K. Closing date ~hould be'on or be ore Sept. 15, 1975 Ers. OLiphant is opposed to the price.of the property. She said we did not have a refer- endum. She is opposed to the location. She does not.think we should build a city hall at this time. Er.'Reimann is in favor of acquiring the land for the building site. Er. Nickelson thinks we should take this proposal. The direction todo this was given at an annual Town meeting three or four years ago. Mr. Gorham thinks we should proceed at this time to buy this property because at an annualmeeting the residents of the community voiced their opinion that this is what we should do and this particular piece of land'would make. a good .place for a city hall'and the price is very good at this time. 'Mr.. Cox said people have been contributing to this for a long time. The money we have available for this should be put. to the best use. ~This land is available and ideally located, if we are going to have fire and police protection in the future. The cost is only $1,000 per acre. It has a good road. He supports it 100% to purchase the property at this time but not necessarily to build unless we can get some funds to help on this project. Discussion on administrative aSsistanb and Assessor and building inspector positions. N~r. Mickelson moved we interview those who seem capable and narrow it down to four and then present them to the Council on both of the positions. Seconded by Mr. Gorh~_~. Er.
