COUNCIL MEETING <br /> CITY OF R/BISEY <br /> COUNTY OF ANOKA <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA . <br /> <br /> regular meeting of the Ramsey City Council was held on October 10, 1978, <br />at the Ramsey Municipal Center, 15155 Nowthen Blvd. N.W., Ramsey, Minnesota,. <br />55503. <br /> <br />The meeting was called to order by Mayor Cox at 8:50 P.M. <br /> <br />Present: <br /> <br />Mayor Cox <br />Councilman Muller <br />Councilman Reimann <br />Councilman Mickelson <br />Councilman Gamec <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />City Attmmey Goodrich <br />City EngineerRaatikka <br />City AdministratOr Schnelle <br /> <br />Mayor Cox led in the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. <br /> <br />APPROVAL OF AGENDA <br /> <br />Motion by .Councilman:Reimann and_seconded'by Councilman. Muller to .approve <br />the:agenda with the following additions and deletions:. <br /> <br />1) Addition - Decision on street improvement on Greenland Hills,. <br />and unplatted areain SEk of Section 21,' Township 32, Range '25 <br />2) Addition - Appointment of newPark Board member per Park and <br />Recreation recommendation <br />3) Deletion - Frank Freeze; regarding the sig~ordinance <br />4) Deletion - Off-sale liquor license applicatiOns (tabled until <br />the October 17, 1978 meeting) <br />5) 1979 City Operational Budget (tabled until the October 17, <br />1978 meeting) <br /> <br />5 ayes <br />Motion carried <br /> <br />b~yor Cox approved . <br />Councilman Muller approved <br />Councilman Reimann approved <br />Councilman Mickelson approved <br />Councilman Gamec approved <br /> <br />CITIZEN INPUT <br /> <br />Mr. Bill Springer of' the Ramsey Lions asked if anyone would be interested <br />in joining their organization. He stated the Lions want to help and serve <br />people and if anyone knows of someone needing help to please call the Lions. <br />They had contributed $20,000.00 to put the park equipment and safid in at <br />Ramsey Elementary. At present they are helping one boy who is losing his <br />signt and another, they paid his fare to California as he is dying of cancer. <br />If anyone is interested in joining they hold their meetings at DeZiel's <br />every first and third Wednesday of every month. <br /> <br />Mayor COx thanked him for coming and told him how much their work is greatly <br />appreciated by the Council and the Community. <br /> <br /> <br />
