P & Z-1- <br />2/5/79 <br /> <br /> CITY OF RAMSEY <br />County of Anoka <br />State of Minnesota <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the Ramsey City Planning & Zoning <br />Commission held a Public Hearing on February 5, 1979 at the Ramsey Municipal <br />Center, ]5153 Nowthen Blvd. N.W., Ramsey, Minnesota 55303. <br /> <br />Chairman Ken Peter~on called the Public Hearing to order at 7:00 p.m. with <br />the following in attendance: <br /> <br />Ken Peterson <br />Kathy SchneJ. der <br />Ron West <br /> <br />Brad Bodle <br />A1 Sorteberg <br />Art Dunn <br /> <br />Also Present: <br />Peter Raatikka, City Eng, <br />Lloyd Schnelle, City Adm. <br /> <br />ChaJ~rman Peterson asked Mr. Don Greenberg to explain his proposed preliminary <br />plat for_~e~ Nor_th Industrial Pa~k Plat 2, and to answer questions from <br />the audience. <br /> <br />Greenberg stated that some lots have already been sold by metes & bounds, and <br />that the plat will include putting in Basalt Street and upgrading 141st Ave. <br /> <br />Ken Peterson asked Mr. Gmeenberg if he had a chance to review the Engineer's <br />report, and Mr. Greenberg stated that he hadn't seen it yet, Ken Peterson <br />stated 'that the report could be reviewed later and called for questions. <br />Greenberg said that his only question at this time was if he would have to <br />blacktop the streets immediately, and if so, would definitely like to postpone <br />blacktopping of Basalt south of 141st, and Azurite south of VeVe's driveway. <br /> <br />Pete Raatikka stated that it is possible to postpone b~acktopping b~ either <br />v~riance or granting an extension. <br /> <br />Ken Peterson stated that if the Commission decides to postpone t~e paving, a <br />recommendation would be given to Council for their consideration. <br /> <br />Mr. A1 Bolduc asked when sewer is expected, and Mr. Raatikka explained no <br />sooner than 1981 and somewhere in the 1981 to 1985 time period. <br />Mr. Gerry Martin, 664i -153rd Lane N.W. asked if water would come in at the <br />time of sewer, Ken Peterson asked Mr. Martin if he saw a need for water for <br />the area being discussed, and both Mr. Martin and Mr. Veve stated that they <br />did not see an immediate need. <br /> <br />Mr. Martin asked Mr. Greenberg if upon approval of the plat, when would the <br />roads be put in, and Mr. Greenberg replied that all roads indicated on the <br />plat would be put in as soon as possible, probably this spring. <br /> <br />Pmblic Hearing closed 7:22 p.m. <br /> <br />Respectfully Submitted, <br />Kathleen Schneider <br /> <br /> <br />
