The arrangement, character, extent, width, grade and <br />location of all streets shall conform to the approved standard street <br />specifications and all applicable sections of the code. <br /> <br /> 2. The arrangement of streets in new subdivisions shall make <br />provision for the continuation of ex~sting and future streets in adjoin- <br />ing areas. <br /> <br />] 70. 038C STRE]F?S ' <br /> <br /> 1. All right-ofyway widths shall conform to the-following <br />minimum dimensions: <br /> <br />_C_]. ? s__s_i f ica t J on Righ t-of-Wa_z <br />Thoroughfare 150 feet <br />Collector 80 feet <br />Minor 66 feet <br />Cul-de-sac 65 feet radius <br />Service 66 feet <br /> <br />Different widths may be required, depending upon anticipated traffic <br />volume, planned function of street, and character of abutting land use. <br /> <br /> 2. Where horizontal street lines deflect from each other at <br />any point more than ten (10) degrees, said street lines shall be connected <br />by a curve with a radius of not less than one hundred (100) feet for <br />minor streets and of such greater radii in the case of other streets <br />as the planning commission may determine. <br /> <br /> 3. Street grades shall not exceed seven percent (7%) for <br />minor and.collector streets and four peKcent (4%) for thoroughfares, <br />and in no case shall they be less than four-tenths percent (0.4%). <br />Wherever feasible, grades within thirty (30) 'feet of street intersec- <br />tions shall not exceed three percent (3%). <br /> <br /> 4. Different connecting stree~ gradients shall be connected <br />with vertical curves. Minimum length, in feet, of said vertical 6urves <br />shall be one hundred (100) feet or twenty (20) times the algebraic dif- <br />ference in the percentage of grade of tbe two (2) adjacent gradients. <br /> <br /> 5. Street jogs in minor and serv5ce streets shall have a <br />centerline offset of not less than one hundred fifty (150) feet. Street <br />jogs in collector streets shall have a centerline offset of not less <br />than three hundred ~(300) feet.. <br /> <br /> 6. Minor streets shall be so aligned that their use by <br />through traffic will be discouraged. <br /> <br /> 7. The maximum length of cul-de-sac streets shall be six <br />hundred (600) feet,' measured along the centerline from th~ intersection <br /> <br /> <br />
