P&Z-3-
3/8/79

Review of lot size in Industrial zoned area:
It was t-h-~ consensus O~ the-C°mmf~ibn tha~ they would need more time and
input on the matter, but that without more information the lot size should
remain 2.5 acres. Art Dunn stated that the 2.5. acres is not necessarily a
set figure, and that possibly the lot size should be larger instead of smaller.
Motion by Art Dunn, seconded by Gerry Zimmerman that the lot size in the
Industrially zoned area remain as is due to the following :
l.) Have not received any input from the Economic Com~nission regarding this.
2.) May delay the need for sewer to this area, but allowing an adequate area
for installing secondary systems.
3.) smaller size lots could seriously hamper expansion of existing businesses,
plus limit initial size or type of industry in City. Motion carried 6-0.
It was pointed out that parking, sewer and well area needs for various types
of industry have to be examined further.

Lot Size recommendation:
Mot~on~ Sorteberg, seconded by Art Dunn to amend the zoning ordinance to
allow the lot size required to include right-of-ways, based on the fact that
this would make for easier sections subdivision. Motion carried 6-0.

Motion by Brad Bodle, seconded by Ken Peterson to adjourn. Meeting adjourn 10:50 p.m.

Respectfully submitted,

Kathl een Schneider
