ORDINANCE NO. 04-33 <br /> <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING A SALARY INCREASE FOR THE MAYOR AND CITY <br />COUNCIL <br /> <br />This ordinance amends Section 2.01.09 of the City Code entitled "Salaries" by increasing the salaries of the <br />Mayor and Council Members. <br /> <br />SECTION 1. AUTHORITY <br /> <br />Tiffs ordinance is adopted pursuant to and under the authority of the Home Rule Charter of the City of <br />Ramsey, Section 2.7 and Minnesota Statutes 415.11. <br /> <br />SECTION 2. PURPOSE <br /> <br /> It is the purpose of this Ordinance to authorize a salary increase for the mayor and city council <br />members. The last such salary increase occurred in 1989. <br /> <br />SECTION 3. AMENDMENT <br /> <br /> Section 2.01.09 of the City Code is amended to provide as follows: <br /> <br /> Subdivision 1.. Mayor. The salary of the Mayor of the City of Ramsey shall be $667 per <br />month ($8,000 per year) effective January 1, 2005. <br /> <br /> Subd 2. City Council. The salary of each Council member of the City of Ramsey shall be $500 <br />per month ($6,000 per year) effective January 1, 2005. <br /> <br />SECTION 4.
