Off-road Vehicles (ORV) - are motorized recreational vehicles capable of cross-country <br />travel on natural terrain, such as four-wheel-drive trucks and ATVs that have an engine <br />displacement of more than 800 cubic centimeters or total dry weight of more than 800 pounds. <br />Vehicles NOT considered ORVs include snowmobiles, all-terrain vehicles, motorcycles, <br />watercraft or aircraft. Farm, logging, military, emergency, law enforcement, utility, trail- <br />grooming and construction vehicles are not considered to be ORVs when used for their intended <br />purpose. <br /> <br /> Person - an individual, firm, partnership, corporation, trustee, association, the state and <br />its agencies and subdivisions, or any body of persons whether incorporated or not. With respect <br />to acts prohibited or required herein, "person" shall included employees and licensees. <br /> <br /> Pnblic Road Right-of-way - the entire right-of-way of a roadway that is not privately <br />owned, including the traveled portions, banks, ditches, shoulders, and medians. <br /> <br /> Recreational Vehicle - describes all-terrain vehicles, off-highway vehicles, and off-road <br />vehicles. <br /> <br />shown <br /> <br />Residential Areas - Those areas in the City within the following Zoning Districts as <br />on the City's official Zoning Map: <br />PUD Planned Unit Development; <br />R- 1R Residential; <br />R- 1U Residential; <br />R-2U Residential; <br />R-3U Residential; and <br />MR Multiple Residential. <br /> <br /> Sound Measuring Device - a decibel meter that meets standards set by the <br />Specifications for Sound Level Meters published by the American National Standards Institute as <br />referenced in Minnesota Rules Chapter 7030 (see 5.08.03, Incorporation by Reference). <br /> <br /> Sound Pressnre Level - in decibels, means 20 times the logarithm to the base 10 of the <br />ratio of thc pressure to the reference pressure. The reference pressure shall be 20 micronewtons <br />per square meter. <br /> <br /> Track or Trail - a course built or created by a repetitive or continued use of a motor <br />vehicle. <br /> <br />5.08.03 Incorporation by Reference.
