Page 2 <br />April 24, 1979 <br />E.D.C. <br /> <br />Mr. Bill Bennett stated that the City Council should be coordinating the <br />airport through the Metro Council. Councilman Cox stated that by the <br />studies that have been done indicates the City's interest to having an <br />airport. It was recommended that a letter of intent be sent to Minnesota <br />Department of Transportation Aeronautics Division to relocate the airport. <br /> <br />Motion by Theresa Henderson seconded by Roger Meyers to recommend to the <br />Council to execute a letter of intent to be sent to Minnesota Department <br />of Transportation Aeronautics Division to relocate the airport. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting yes Councilman Cox, Chairman; Mr. Muller, Mrs. <br />Henderson, Mr. Hanson, Mr. Meyers and Mr. Greenberg. Voting no None. <br /> <br />INDUSTRIAL ZONING <br /> <br />Mr. Cox addressed this.' He stated currently the City has two and one- <br />half acre zoning for industrial lots. He further stated the City Council <br />is questioning whether this is correct. He asked-for input on this <br />matter from the Economic Development Commission. <br /> <br />Mr. Jack Menkveld stated he thought one acre minimum industrial lots was <br />appropriate for industrial park subdivisions. <br /> <br />Mr. Joe Sentryz stated he preferred the one acre zoning minimum for in- <br />dustrial zoning. <br /> <br />Mr. Greenberg stated he preferred the one acre industrial zoning minimum <br />for industrial subdivision. <br /> <br />Motion by Robert Muller and seconded by Boyd Hansen that lot size minimum <br />for industrial subdivisions be of one acre minimum. <br /> <br />Votin~ yes Councilman Cox, Chairman; Robert Muller, Boyd Hansen, Roger <br />Meyers, Theresa Henderson and Don Greenberg. Voting no None. <br /> <br />INDUSTRIAL BTYD. <br /> <br />The Commission discussed Industrial Blvd. and that the City should have <br />Anoka County start negotiating with the City of Anoka on the acquiring of <br />land for the expansion of Industrial Blvd. from Sunfish Lake to State <br />Highway #47. <br /> <br />INDUSTRIAL REVENUE BONDS <br /> <br />Mr. Joe Sentryz and Mr. Roger Ericksen brought up Mortgage Revenue Bonds <br />for discussion. Councilman Cox asked the Committee if they wanted to dis- <br />cuss it. It was the intention to leave it open for Council discussion. <br /> <br /> <br />
