5/21/79 <br /> <br /> Planning & Zoning <br /> City of Ramsey ' <br />County of Anoka <br />State of Minnesota <br /> <br />A Special Meeting of the Ramsey City Planning & Zoning Commission was held on <br />May 21, 1979 at Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Blvd. N.W. Meeting was <br />called to order by Chairman Ken Peterson at 7:46 p.m. with the following in <br />attendance: <br /> <br />Ken Peterson <br />Kathy Schneider <br />Gerry Zimmerman <br />Ron West <br /> <br />Art Dunn <br />John Hubbard <br />Ben Deemer <br /> <br />Also present: <br /> <br />Lloyd Schnelle, City Adm <br />Peter Raatikka, ~City Eng <br /> <br />Approval of Agenda: Motion by Art Dunn, seconded by Gerry Zimmerman to move <br />items #1 & #2 to the end of the Agenda. Motion carried 7-0. <br /> <br />Approval of Minutes: <br />Motion by Ron West seconded by Gerry Zimmerman to approve the minutes of 5/7/79 <br />regarding Critical Rivers with the addition noting that Art Dunn arrived 7:15p.m. <br />Motion carried 7-0. <br /> <br />Motion by Art Dunn, seconded by Gerry Zimmerman to approve the minutes of 5/7/79 <br />regarding Public Hearing for Pondvale Estates Preliminary Plat as read. <br />Motion carried 6-0. Ben Deemer abstained. <br /> <br />Motioh by Ben Deemer, seconded by Kathy Schneider to approve the minutes of 5/7/79 <br />regarding the Public Hearing on Arthur St. Hilare as read. Motion carried 7-0. <br /> <br />Motion by Gerry Zimmerman, seconded by Ben Deemer to approve the minutes of the <br />regular meeting of 5/7/79 as read. Motion carried 7-0. <br /> <br />Motion by Art Dunn, seconded by Ron West to approve the minutes of the Public <br />hearing of 5/7/79 regarding the preliminary plat for Arthur Anderson as read. <br />Motion carried 7-0. <br /> <br />Citzens Input <br />Mr. Bob Nelson from Vicuna Street in Windsor Woods was present along with his <br />realtor regarding resubdividing his 3 acre lot into two 1.5. acre lots for the <br />purpose of being able to retain some property in Ramsey since the energy situation <br />is neccesitating his moving closer to his present work. <br /> <br />Ron West stated that with 5 acres there wouldn't be any problem, but that this <br />caused deficient frontage. Kathy ~Schneider stated that she felt an additional <br />building permit could not be issued until services were a~ailable, and that <br />would mean holding an unbuildable lot for~some time. John Hubbard concurred with <br />Ron West's comment, and Art Dunn pointed out that allowing this would open the <br />doors to everyone Gerry Zimmerman agreed with the Commissions comments, and <br />was not in favor of any division. Ken Peterson suggested if he wanted to pursue <br />this he could go through the platting proceedure, but to take in account that the <br />consensus of the Commission was not to allow the 1.5 acre lots. Ben Deemer <br />suggested that if they do go further to provide a scale drawing of what they pro- <br />pose. <br /> <br /> <br />
