Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #04-09- <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION ADOPTING FINDINGS OF FACT # RELATING TO A <br />REQUEST FOR A CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT FROM MICHAEL METTLER TO <br />EXCEED THE MAXIMUM SQUARE FOOTAGE ALLOWED I~'OR ACCESSORY <br />STRUCTURES. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Michael Mettler, hereinafter referred to as the "Applicant", has properly <br />applied for a Conditional Use Permit to exceed the maximum amount of square feet for accessory <br />buildings on properties between 1 and 1.99 acres as establi}hed in section 9.11.02 (Accessory <br />Uses) of City Code on the property generally known as 15315 Sunfish Lake Blvd NW and legally <br />described as follows: <br /> <br />The south 194.5 feet of that part of the Southwest Quarter of the Northwest Quarter <br />of Section 23, Township 32, Range 25, Anoka County, Minnesota lying easterly of <br />the centerline of County State Aid Highway Number 57. Excluding road and subject <br />to easements of record. <br /> <br />("Subject Property") <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THIS CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA that the findings of fact relating <br />to the request are determined to b.e as follows: <br /> <br />That the Applicant appeared before the Planning Commission for a public hearing pursuant <br />to Section 9.03.05 of the Ramsey City Code on September 2, 2004, and that said public <br />hearing was properly advertised and that the minutes of said public hearing are hereby <br />incorporated by reference. <br /> <br />2. That the Subject Property is zoned R-1 Residential and is located inside the Metropolitan <br /> Urban Service Area (MUSA). <br /> <br />That the Subject Property is adjacent to properties zoned R-1 Residential (within the MUSA) <br />on the north and south, R-1 Rural Developing to the west (across Sunfish Lake Blvd), and R- <br />2 Medium Density to the east. <br /> <br />4. That the Subject Property is approximately 1.73 acres in size. <br /> <br />5. That the Subject Property is eligible for a total of 1,664 square feet of accessory building <br /> space. <br /> <br />That the Applicant has an existing one-stall attached garage that is 308 square feet in size and <br />a detached garage that is 660 square feet in size; the existing square footage of accessory <br />buildings on the Subject Property is 968. <br /> <br /> <br />
