Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #04-09- <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION IDENTIFYING FINDINGS, APPROVING A COMPRHENSIVE PLAN <br />AMENDMENT TO CHANGE THE LAND USE DESIGNATION OF OUTLOT E, RIVER'S <br />BEND 3a' ADDITION FROM MEDIUM DENSITY RESIDENTIAL TO PLACES TO SHOP, <br />AND AUTHORIZING CITY STAFF TO SUB1VHT AN APPLICATION TO THE <br />METROPOLITAN COUNCIL FOR AN AMENDMENT TO THE COMPREHENSIVE PLAN <br /> <br /> WHE1LEAS, on ., 2004, the City of Ramsey received a request from Arthur <br />and Elizabeth Raudio for an amendment to the Comprehensive Plan to' change the future land use <br />designation of' the following legally described property from Medium Density Residential to Places to <br />Shop: <br /> <br />Outlot E, River's Bend' 3~d Addition, Anoka County, Minnesota. <br /> <br />(The Subject Property) <br /> <br /> AND WHEREAS, the Comprehensive Plan approved in 2001 identifies the designated land <br />use of the Subject Property as Medium Density Residential; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City finds that historically the Subject Property has been zoned for <br />commercial uses and the transition to medium density residential in the 200'1 Comprehensive Plan <br />was a result ora prior technical error on the City's zoning map. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the property owners are requesting that the designated land use for the Subject <br />PropmW be changed back to Places to Shop in the Comprehensive Plan; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the adjacent land uses to the north are designated as medium density residential, <br />single f:amily residential to the east, and places to shop to the south; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Ramsey Planning Commission met on September 2, 2004, conducted a <br />public hearing, and recommended that the Ramsey City Council approve the request for an <br />amendment to the Comprehensive Plan. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1) That the Ramsey City Council hereby approves the request for a land use designation change of <br /> the Subject Property from Medium Density Residential to Places to Shop for the following parcel: <br /> <br />PID # <br />25-32-25-31-0006 <br /> <br />2) That the Ramsey City Council hereby authorizes City Staff to submit tl~e necessary <br /> documentation to Metropolitan Council for an amendment to the 2001 Comprehensive Plan to <br /> change the land use designation to Places to Shop. <br /> <br />33 <br /> <br /> <br />
