The scope of park improvements
provided has been reviewed and discussed by the Parks Commission, City Council and staff over
the past several months. Negotiations continue between the City and the Developer.
Construction plans have been submitted for East Park and South Park and concept sketches have
been submitted for West Park and North Park.

Mr. Bruce Jacobson, developer, presented architectural layouts of public facilities at Town
Center. He stated the developer is committed to doing everything that was submitted on the
plans. There will be some park lighting for Town Park.

Mr. Jacobson showed a layout of the amphitheater and discussed the seating layout.

Commissioner Ostmm asked what the seating capacity was. Mr. Jacobson was not sure at this
point. He explained it would be poured concrete and porous paving in the amphitheater area.

Mr. Jacobson discussed the pavilions with the Commission and showed pictures. He thought for
South Park they would have a farmstead theme.

Commissioners Shryock and Olds liked sketch 2 with the rounded roof.

Mr. Jacobson stated the North Park pavilion idea would be to associate it more with a garden and
it could have more vertical space. They are both programmed to hold 100 people with multi stall
bathrooms. There would also be storage in both and electrical.

Mr. Jacobson showed the site plan for South Park. Commissioner Shryock stated while looking
at pavilion designs she liked the more interesting ones with different designs. She did not know
if she liked the idea of having two buildings. Her concern with the two buildings is safety.

Commissioner Lehman stated he liked the translucent lighting in the pavilion. Mr. Jacobson
stated the City does not want metal roofing and would prefer wood shingles.

Chairperson Johns stated she did not really like the barn look.
