Councilmember Shryock introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> RESOLUTION #17-02-040 <br /> A RESOLUTION APPROVING A COMPRHENSIVE PLAN AMENDMENT, <br /> CONTINGENT UPON METROPOLITAN COUNCIL APPROVAL, TO CHANGE A <br /> LAND USE DESIGNATION ON THE SUBJECT PROPERTY TO MEDIUM DENSITY <br /> RESIDENTIAL AND BUSINESS PARK <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey (the "City") has initiated an amendment to the <br /> Comprehensive Plan to change the future land use designation from 1) High Density Residential <br /> to Medium Density Residential; and 2)Public-Quasi Public and Commercial to Business Park for <br /> the following legally described property: <br /> Lot 1, Block 1 Alpha Development, Anoka County, Minnesota <br /> -and- <br /> That part of Outlot B, Alpha Development lying within Northeast Quarter of Northeast <br /> Quarter of Section 29, Township 32, Range 25, Anoka County, Minnesota <br /> -and- <br /> That part of Outlot B, Alpha Development lying within Northwest Quarter of Northeast <br /> Quarter of Section 29, Township 32, Range 25, Anoka County, Minnesota <br /> -and- <br /> Lot 1, Block 1, Pine Shadows, Anoka County, Minnesota <br /> -and- <br /> The Southwest Quarter of the Southwest Quarter of Section 20, Township 32, Range 25, <br /> lying west of east 40 feet thereof, except road subject of easement of record, Anoka County, <br /> Minnesota. <br /> -and- <br /> That part of Northwest Quarter of Northwest Quarter of Section 29, Township 32, Range <br /> 25 lying northeasterly of northeasterly right of way line of Burlington Northern rail Road <br /> and lying westerly and southerly of the north 60 feet of east 40 feet of said Quarter Quarter, <br /> except road subject to easement of record, Anoka County, Minnesota. <br /> (the "Subject Property") <br /> WHEREAS, the City has been approached by Capstone Homes on a residential concept <br /> plan; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City desires to amend a portion of the Subject Property to facilitate the <br /> future development of a business park in order to retain and expand businesses and expand the <br /> City's tax base; and <br />
