Councilman Reimann read Ordinance 170.0414 of the City Code pertaining to <br />driveways stating that no single residential lot shall have more than one <br />driveway access onto a public street. Council has been trying to limit <br />access onto 16?th Avenue for the public safety and it is a collector street <br />to a thoroughfare. Mayor Gamec added that the road will be widened with <br />a bike lane and will become a major thoroughfare in the future. <br /> <br />Mr. Bruno said he needs the second driveway for access to the <br />back of his lot. <br /> <br />Councilman Mickelson asked if he couldn't drive through to the back by the <br />side of his garage. <br /> <br />Mr. Bruno replied that he could possibly change his landscaping so he <br />could drive to the back, but he also wants to build a garage back there. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec said he could only have one driveway in. accordance with the City <br /> <br />Motion by Councilman Reimann seconded by Councilman Sorteherg that Mr. <br />Bruno is to have the second driveway at his residence on 167th Avenue <br />removed from his property by August 20th. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmen Mickelson, Reimann <br />and Sorteberg. Voting no: None. <br /> <br />MENKVELD PINE HILL NORTH PLAT REQUEST 'FOR'FINAL 'PLAT 'APPROVAL <br /> <br />Mr. Jack Menkveld was present to request final plat approval for Menkveld <br />Pine Hill North. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilman Mickelson and seconded by Councilman Sorteberg to <br />grant variances to Menkveld's Pine Hills North for: Section 170.039D <br />of the City Code which requires that the grading and street plans be signed <br />by a registered professional engineer because this is such a small plat <br />and a variance to Section 170.037Bi for soils data and Section 170.041 (4) <br />regarding soils. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmen Mickelson, Reimann <br />and Sorteberg. Voting no: None. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilman Mickelson, seconded by Councilman Roimann to approve <br />the final p~at of Menkveld Pinehill's North contingent on the engineer's <br />re comnendat ions: <br /> <br />1. Developer to enter into a performanco contract with the City <br /> to complete improvements. <br />2. Building inspector to review all lots proposed for individual <br /> sewage treatment systems for city code conformance prior to <br /> issuance of building permits. <br />3. Developer to pay park d~dication fee of $1,000 <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmen Mickelson, Reimann <br />and Sorteberg.
