17601 Marmoset Street <br />Anoka, Minnesota, 55303 <br />August 29, 1979 <br /> <br />Mr. Lloyd Schnelle <br />City Administrator <br />Ramsey City Hall <br />Ramsey, Minnesota <br /> <br />Dear Mr. Schnelle$ <br /> Wes Mr. and Mrs. Jacobson of Lot 1, Block 4, in Countryside Estates, <br />Ramsey, would like to comment on the application of the v~riance request of <br />Mr. Albert Swen, to gain access to his land lockedparcel (NWl/4 of SE 1/4 <br />of Section 5, Township 32, Range 25). <br /> If it is intended to gain access to this property VIA a roadway <br />through the Outlet "G" of Countryztde Estates, we fcar serious drainage <br />problems could result. Our lot as well as Lots nos. 2 and 3, slope downward <br />to the very swampy drainage areas of outlet "F" and "G". At this time the <br />waters edge is right adjacent to ou~ property. We fear a road through <br />outlot "G" would dam the run-off and move the swamp into our prime property. <br /> B~sides the fact that this area is a pe~t bog which is heav~_ly <br />wooded, this read would have to'be built up by a height of approximately <br />five (5) feet above the swamp if it were to be level with the existing streets.~ <br />Because of our interest in this matter, we will be attending the <br />publio hearing on September 4, 1979. ~ <br /> <br />RJ/rJ <br />Cop~sent to Mr. Albert Swen <br /> <br />Roger~Jacob~n <br /> <br /> <br />
