PROCEEDINSS OF THE CITY COUNCIL <br /> CITY OF RAMSEY <br /> ANOKA COUNTY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />A regular meeting of the Ramsey City Council was held on August 27, 1979 <br />at Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Boulevard N.W., Ramsey, Minnesota <br />55303 <br /> <br />Members Present: Mayor Gamec Also Present: Administrator Schnelle <br /> Councilman Cox Engineer Raatikka <br /> Councilman Reimann Attorney Goodrich <br /> Councilman . .Sgrteber~ <br />Members Absent: Councilman Mlckelsof~ <br />Mayor Gamec called the meeting to order at 8:04 P.M. and led the <br />Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. <br /> <br />APPROVAL OF AGENDA <br /> <br />Motion by Councilman Reimann and seconded by Councilman Cox to approve <br />the agenda with the addition of: 1. Correction for Council meeting <br />minutes of June 11, 1979, regarding the Herrick case Pages 9-10. <br />2. Merrill, Lyncl~ Pierce, Fenner and Smith, Investors. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmen Cox, Reimann and <br />S°rteberg. Voting no: None. <br /> <br />CITIZEN INPUT <br /> <br />Harold, from Harold's Hardware, 167th Avenue and Highway 47 said he <br />is seeking permission to install a sign on his store. <br /> <br />Councilman Cox reported that he had talked to Harold regarding this <br />sign and that he is having an open house on September 13th and it <br />takes the sign company 2-3 weeks to prepare the sign and he has a <br />hardship on the timing. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec placed this item under the sign ordinanCe and fee section of <br />tonight's agenda. <br /> <br />Councilman Cox commented that he has no problem with making a motion <br />to approve the sign for the building, this is a good business establishment <br />and this is one of the reasons people go into commercial development to <br />avoid these problems. <br /> <br />Council's consensus is that there ~s no problem with the installation <br />of the sign at Harold's Hardware as long as it conforms to the Sign Ordinance. <br /> <br />APPROVAL ,'OF 'COUNCIL MINUTES <br /> <br />'PUBLIC'HEARINGREGARDING'BOARD'OF'AIIJUSTMENT'FOR'~.'-~X'S~R <br /> <br />Motion by Councilman Reimann and seconded by Councilman Sorteberg to <br />accept the minutes of the Board of Adjustment for July 23, 1979 as <br />received. <br /> <br />Regular Council YeetinF- <br />August 27, 1979 <br /> <br /> <br />
