Councilmember Williams introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> RESOLUTION #16-12-249 <br /> RESOLUTION TO PROMOTE A PATROL OFFICER TO SERGEANT <br /> WHEREAS, there is a Sergeant's vacancy due to Sergeant Tom Lueck's retirement; and <br /> WHEREAS, staff recommends Patrol Officer Chris Curtis to be promoted to Sergeant, <br /> effective December 10, 2016, at $39.08 per hour; and <br /> WHEREAS, Officer Curtis, as a newly promoted Sergeant, will be subject to a 6-month <br /> probation period; and <br /> WHEREAS, all other Personnel Policies and union contracts will apply normally. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> 1) Motion to adopt resolution 16-12-249,promoting Patrol Officer Chris Cutis to the position <br /> of Sergeant, effective December 10, 2016 at $36.08 per hour based on step 3 of the 2016 <br /> wage scale. <br /> The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br /> Kuzma, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> Mayor Strommen <br /> Councilmember Williams <br /> Councilmember Kuzma <br /> Councilmember Johns <br /> Councilmember Riley <br /> Councilmember Shryock <br /> and the following voted against the same: <br /> None <br /> and the following abstained: <br /> None <br /> and the following were absent: <br /> Councilmember LeTourneau <br />
