Note: Councilman MJckelson arrived late. <br /> <br />Mr. Collins replied that he presently has removed the guns from his <br />home but that he would be willing to comply and seek a home occupation permit. <br /> <br />Mike Rajewsky, 16341 Yttrium and Bart Wahlberg, 15461 Hematite Street were <br />present at the meeting regarding a school assignment and asked about Ramsey's <br />current population. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec replied that current population figures estimate the population <br />for Ramsey at about 11,000. The census is being conducted and those figures <br />should be available in 1981. <br /> <br />They asked about acreage needed to build a home. <br /> <br />Councilman Reimann explained that in the Urban Area, minimum lot size is <br />an acre and in the transitional area, it is 2~ acres. The City is'~about <br />31 square miles, and %here/are about 130 miles of City streets not counting <br />County and State roads. <br /> <br />FLOOD PLAIN ORDINANCE <br /> <br />Motion by Councilman Cox and seconded by Councilman Sorteberg to adopt <br />Ordinance 79-13 entitled Chapter 170.06 "FLOOD PLAIN MANAGEMENT". <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilman Mickelson, Councilman <br />Reimann and Council rmn Sorteberg. Voting no: None. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilman Reimann and seconded by Councilman Cox to adopt <br />Ordinance 79-14 amending the subdivision chapter of the City Code Section <br />170.03; "170.038J FLOOD PLAIN REQUIREMENTS". <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilman Mickelson, Councilman <br />Reimann and Councilman Sorteberg. Voting no: None. <br /> <br />AMENDMENT TO ZONING ORDINANCE <br /> <br />Motion by Councilman Reimann and seconded by Councilman Sorteberg to adopt <br />Ordinance 79-12, An Ordinance Amending Chapter 170.01 entitled "Zoning". <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilman Mickelson, Councilman <br />Reimann and Councilman Sorteberg. Voting no: None. <br /> <br />CONTRACT BETWEEN COON RAPIDS DISPOSAL & CITY OF RAMSEY <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec reviewed the licensing request of Mr. Baumgartner, Coon Rapids <br />Distx~sal, for garbage/rubbish hauling in the City. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilman Cox and seconded by Councilman Reimann to approve the <br />license request of Mr. Baumgartner, Coon Rapids Disposal for a garbage/rubbish <br />license and authorize entering into an agreement with Mr. Baumgartner and <br />Mayor Gamec and City Administrator Schnelle to sign the agreement. <br /> <br />Motion carried.
