<br />Councilmember Williams introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #16-12-250 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING FINAL PAYMENT TO PEARSON BROTHERS, INC. <br />FOR IMPROVEMENT PROJECT #16-00 DIVISION A, 2016 CRACKSEAL AND <br />SEALCOAT IMPROVEMENTS <br /> <br /> WHEREAS <br />, the City of Ramsey adopted a budget for 2016 that included $500,000 for <br />cracksealing and sealcoating various public streets as part of the City’s annual Street <br />Maintenance Program for 2016; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, <br />pursuant to a resolution of the City Council adopted May 24, 2016, the City <br />Council accepted final plans and specifications and authorized advertisements for bids for said <br />improvements; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, <br />pursuant to a resolution of the City Council adopted June 28, 2016 the bid <br />of Pearson Brothers, Inc. in the amount of $260,521.76 for the total bid is the lowest responsible <br />bidder; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, <br />as of December 13, 2016 $253,768.55 has been paid to date; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, <br />the Senior Engineering Technician has inspected the completed work and <br />recommends final payment to Pearson Brothers, Inc. in the amount of $22,582.27. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1) That the City Council hereby authorizes final payment to Pearson Brothers, Inc. for <br />Improvement Project 16-00 Division A; 2016 Crackseal and Sealcoat Improvements in <br />the amount of $22,582.27. <br /> <br />2) That the City Council hereby accepts the project and authorizes the Mayor or City <br />Administrator to sign the release form for this payment. <br /> <br />3) That the total amount of this payment is not included in resolutions approving payment of <br />bills for the date of December 13, 2016. <br /> <br />4) That the City of Ramsey Finance Department will be provided a signed copy of this <br />resolution. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Kuzma, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br /> Mayor Strommen <br /> Councilmember Williams <br /> <br />
