CITY OF RAMSEY <br /> ANOKA COUNTY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />PARK & RECREATION COMMISSION <br /> <br />SPECIAL MEETING <br /> <br />A special meeting of the Ramsey Park and Recreation Commission was held on <br />November 27, 1979, at the RamseyMunicipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Boulevard N.W. <br />Ramsey, Minnesota 55303 <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Dennis Donovan <br />Terry McLean <br />Sam Walz <br />Janice Johnson <br />Dick Swanson <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />City Mayor Gamec <br /> <br />The meeting was called to order at 7:00 P.M. by Chairman Dennis Donovan. <br />The subject of this special meting is: Preliminary work on Bond Issue. <br /> <br />bhyor Gamec presented eight (8) points he felt necessary to get the <br />bond issue underway. <br /> <br />1. What bond use should provide. <br /> a. Review existing parks and what should be done with each. <br />2. Landfill - must become major park and possible community center. <br />3. Long-rm~ge cost to the City. <br />4. Cost per homeowner for bond and maintenance cost. <br />5. Get rmney from City Council--How much? <br />6. People to serve on committee. <br />7. Meeting with City of Champlin. <br />8. Meeting with Committee and concerned citizen groups. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec presented seven(7) priority items. <br />discussion are: <br /> <br />These items with <br /> <br />Purchase or :donation of property, at least 40 acres. <br /> (Action) <br /> Mayor Gamec will investigate the possibility of <br /> land acquisition from Federal Cartridge, approx. 40 <br /> acres by St. Anthony Gun Club. <br /> <br />Complete Titterud Park. a. hockey rink; b. well; c. building. <br /> (Action) <br /> This park still needs backstops, soccer field. There will be <br /> no hockey rink, no well. A satellite with possible decorative <br /> shelter for them, security and aesthetics and creative play area <br /> are still needed. <br /> <br />3.
