Concerning the right of way, Engineer Raatikka said he talked to the <br />Anoka County Highway Department in regards to upgrading of County Road <br />56, (R~msey Boulevard), and they are going to be taking 60 from each side <br />of the center l~ne and at the present time the City's ordinance doesn't <br />address site yard setbacks along thoroughfares. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilman Cox and seconded by Councilman Reimann to enter into <br />the development contract with Soderholm & Associates, said contract to <br />include a deed for the additional right of way for County Road 56 to be <br />given by the developer; site plan approved in accordance with the engineer's <br />recommendations and building plans are to be approved by the City's building <br />official with the permit application. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmen Cox, Mickelson, Reimann and <br />Sorteberg. Voting no: None. Motion carried. <br /> <br />RON WEST-REGARDING THE AGGREGAT~ FRONT FOR THE BERG OIL BUILDING <br /> <br />This item was tabled until Ron West can be present. <br />NATIONAL LEAGUE OF CITIES CONGRESSIONAL CONFERENCE <br /> <br />Mayor G~nec discussed the conference with Councilmembers. He stated that <br />he feels it would be beneficial to the City to send representatives from <br />the City to meet with Senators on an individual basis and ~hereby create a 'chance <br />for more personal contact. <br /> <br />Councilman Cox asked that a request be offered that the income and sales <br />taxes be cut similar to the Southern states. <br /> <br />Councilman Reimann asked that the City's views and needsbe stressed at the <br />conference. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilman Reimann and seconded by Councilman Sorteberg to send <br />a two-person delegation to Washington D.C. to attend the National League <br />of Cities Congressional Conference, and to pay~the airfare and to look <br />into the cost of the rest of the expenses. ~is should be presented to <br />Council at the next meeting. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting. yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmen Cox, Mickelson, <br />Reimann and Sorteberg. Voting no: None. <br /> <br />METRO COUNCIL STAFF'S PROPOSED COMMENTS ON RAMSEY'S CRITICAL RIVER <br /> <br />REGULATIONS <br /> <br />A copy of the Metro Council Staff's comments on Ramsey's proposed Critical <br />River regulation was presented.
