4) Letters were received from neighbors in the area which expressed <br />their objection to a large structure in their area~ <br /> <br />5) That the nature of the construction of a 624 square foot green-~ <br />house would not asthetically fit into the residential character <br />of the ~eighborhood. <br /> <br />6) It is the intent of the City Council to preserve the residential <br />c~aracter of the neighborhoods and to take whatever means possible <br />to try to prevent the possibility of creating a use that may sub-" <br />stantially diminish or impair the property values within any resi-. <br />dential area. <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />Mayor <br /> <br />City Administrator/Clerk <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting yes Mayor Gamec~' Councilmen Cox, Reimarm~ Mickelson <br />and Sorteberg. Voting no None, <br /> <br />Motion by Councilman Reimann and seconded by Councilman S0rteberg to <br />deny Mr. Volmer's conditional use application to construct a 624 square <br />foot greenhouse in a residential zone. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting yes Mayor Gamec, Councilmen Cox, Reimann~ Mickelson <br />and Sorteberg. Voting no None. <br /> <br />MINNESOTA UTILITY SITE AND DESIGN PLAN DEVELOPMENT CONTRACT <br /> <br />Mr. Lloyd Bearl was present representing Minnesota Utility. The Council <br />reviewed the proposed contract with Mr. Bearl. The Council agreed that <br />paragraph 3d on Page 2 of ~he contract can read as follows: <br /> <br />d) The exterior of the building shall be faced one~.third of 'the <br />height of the building for the entire width on that portion of <br />the building facing Industry Avenue in brick type or appearing <br />material and landscape plantings shall be placed along this portion <br />of the building at Zhe rate of one every eight ~$) feet] <br /> <br />Motion by Councilman Cox and seconded by'CouncilmanMickelson to enter <br />into the contract as amended above. <br /> <br />Motion carried.
