SEC1]ON 52 09 ADMINSITRATION AND ENFORCEMENT Subdivision 1. A. ENFORCING OFFICER The Council-shall designate a City Employee who shall be primarily responsible for the enforcement of this Ordinance, The Enforcing officer shall enforce.this Ordinance.and in 'fur~erance of said authority, may: (1) Enter upon the land or within a building during reason- able'working hours .as found necessary to fulfill his dutiesa~ Administrator of this Ordinance. (2) Conduct inspections of buildings and use of land to determine compliance with the terms of this Ordinance. (3) Maintain permanent and current records of this Ordinance'i including but not limited to, maps, amendments and conditional uses, variances, appeals, certificat'es of occupancy and appli. cations thereto. (4) Institute in the name of the City of Eagan, appropriate actions or proceedings against a .violator as provided by law, (5) Establish and enforce necessary,or desirable regulations in writing, clarifying or explaining any provision of this Ordinance. Subdivision 2. A. BoARD.oF APPEALS AND ADJUSTMENTS Members. The Board of Appeals and Adjustments for ,the City of Eagan shall consist of the individual members of the City Council, and the Chairman and Secretary of the Planning Com-.'~ mission. Functions'of the Board of Appeals and Adjustment~ (1) The Board shall make written recommendations to'the City Council on variance petitions received under this Ordi-] nance, (2) The Board of Appeals and Adjustments shall consider and advise the City Council upon all appeals from deciGiea$ of the Building Inspector under the Building Codes and Ordt-; nance, and determinations made by admtnistra{ive officers in the enforcement of this Zoning Ordinance and such other matters as may be diredtl.y referred to it by the Council. -58-
