A primary goal of our <br />Comprehensive Plan is to balance our unique natural resources with future development activity. The <br />City sees an opportunity to collaborate with the community as a whole to provide resources for <br />homeowners and business owners to recognize the value of these resources and ways to manage and <br />protect them. <br />The City's Flood Insurance Rate Maps, which were just updated by FEMA in December of 2015, still <br />include a number of areas identified as floodplain but without detailed analyses to provide a Base Flood <br />Elevation (BFE).
