ORDINANCE #17-04 <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />AN AMENDMENT TO CHAPTER 117 OF THE CITY CODE, WHICH CHAPTER IS KNOWN AS <br />ZONING AND SUBDIVISIONS OF THE CITY CODE OF RAMSEY, MINNESOTA <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING MULTIPLE SECTIONS OF THE RAMSEY CITY CODE <br />RELATING TO IRRIGATION REQUIREMENTS. <br />The City of Ramsey Ordains: <br />SECTION 1 AUTHORITY <br />This ordinance is adopted pursuant to and under the authority of the City Charter of the City of Ramsey. <br />SECTION 2 AMENDMENTS <br />Section 117-111. — R-1 Residential (g) (4) is amended as follows and the existing (4) and (5) are renumbered <br />to (5) and (6): <br />(4) Irrigation. If a landscape irrigation system is provided, the system shall be equipped with the <br />following: <br />a. Technology that inhibits or interrupts operation of the irrigation system during periods of <br />sufficient moisture (rain sensor). <br />b. One or more water efficient technologies. This could include, but is not limited to, <br />WasterSense labeled weather -based irrigation controllers, soil moisture sensors, and/or <br />evapotranspiration (ET) sensors. <br />Section 117-112. - R-2 Residential District (e) (6) e. is amended as follows: <br />e. Irrigation. If a landscape irrigation system is provided, the system shall be equipped with the <br />following: <br />1. Technology that inhibits or interrupts operation of the irrigation system during periods of sufficient <br />moisture (rain sensor). <br />2. One or more water efficient technologies. This could include, but is not limited to, WasterSense <br />labeled weather -based irrigation controllers, soil moisture sensors, and/or evapotranspiration (ET) <br />sensors. <br />Section 117-113. — R-3 Residential District (e) (5) e. is amended as follows: <br />e. Irrigation. If a landscape irrigation system is provided, the system shall be equipped with the <br />following: <br />1. Technology that inhibits or interrupts operation of the irrigation system during periods of sufficient <br />moisture (rain sensor). <br />
