Mayor Gamec said the regulations say that snowmobilers can drive in the <br /> ditches, but they cannot drive on the street. <br /> <br />· Mr. Gambte asked if the roads are built up with good gravg base or are <br /> they like those in Carlos Avery which are all on top of organic materials. <br /> <br /> City Engineer Raatikka said there are some areas which will need subgrade <br /> correction. <br /> <br /> Mr. Neil Braatz, 4933 - 178th Lane N.W. <br /> <br /> Mr. Braatz asked if they are going to grade'down at all. <br /> <br /> City Engineer Raatikka said the grade will stay pretty much the same~ but some <br /> areas will be changed. <br /> <br /> Councilman Cox said he thought he should indicate to the people that the <br /> City Council did not initiate this .blacktopping project~ it was initiated by <br /> the people in the area. <br /> <br /> Mayor Gamec said if 35% of the people are in favor of the project, the council <br /> could vote it in. <br /> <br /> Councilman Cox said the decision is made by the council and the resident's vote <br /> gives the council an indication. <br /> <br /> A vote was taken of the residents present. 26 residents voted. 14 voted for <br /> and 12 voted against the project. <br /> <br /> Motion by Councilman Reimann and seconded by Councilman Mickelson to close <br /> the public hearing. <br /> <br /> Motion carried. Voting yes-Mayor Gamec, Councilmen Sortebe~g, REimann, <br /> Mickelson and Cox.
