Mr. Smith said the city has to enforce the ordinance it has. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec said it is very difficult to enforce the ordinance. <br /> <br />City Administrator Schnelle suggested setting up a meeting with all those <br />who are complaining and trying to work it out. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec said many of the business on home propemties ape commercially <br />taxed. <br /> <br />Resident at 8800-152nd Avenue N.W. <br /> <br />The resident asked if they can assess weed control to the people, why can't <br />the city ham someone come out and get rid of junk cars and assess the <br />people for it. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec said weeds are easier to get rid of than junk cars. The <br />City Council is aware of the problem, but the problem is handling of <br />them in the courts because the court costs alone would be about $5,000 to <br />$6,000 a year. <br /> <br />The resident informed the council that the property belonging to Lawrence Lund, <br />at 15200 Hedgehog and the property next door belonging to'the Hanson's are <br />junk yards. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec said the problem in Ramsey is the large size lots. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilman Cox and seconded by Councilman Reimann to direct <br />city staff to review the situations at 15200 Hedgehog and the pmoperty <br />next door and set up a meeting with the neighbors in the area regarding <br />same. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting yes-Mayor Gamec, Councimmen Sorteberg, Reimann, <br />Mickelson and Cox. Voting no-None. <br /> <br />Mr. Smith said he has all the drainage from 153rd coming into his yard <br />at Iguana and 151st, Walscott, Plat 2, Lot 10. He made a complaint last <br />year on this and right now, the ditch the city put in needs to be cleaned <br />out. He suggested that the city put in asphalt there. <br /> <br />Councilman Reimann directed City Administrator Schnelle to check on this <br />matter. <br /> <br />APPROVAL OF AGENDA <br /> <br />City Attorney Goodrich asked to have the bond issue added in the Agenda <br />after the street projects are. taken care of. <br /> <br />City Engineer Raatikka asked to have his Project Report added to "Mayor/ <br />Council Input". <br /> <br />Motion by Counci&man Reimann and seconded by Councilman Mickelson to <br />approve the Agenda with additions. <br /> <br />Motion carried.
