Mr. Johnson said the requested
area has been reduced to a little over 17 acres, and it has been reviewed
by the P & Z Commission. He said there is a roadway easement just' in case
the pmoperty to the north is developed. He said they understand that the
Park Board is interested in cash in lieu of the land and they haven't any
objections to that.

Councilman Cox said the city should have some type of assurance that there
be some type of access to the highway for future consideration, and
anything without access to the highway should not be considered.

Discussion was held on future considerations of the area.

City Administrator Schnelle said they have made a land.separation out
there on Contract for Deed.

Attorney Goodrich said it is over five acres and they can subdivide i{
by metes and bounds. There is a contingency problem as well. Mrs. Carter
has three acres left here and she doesn't want to get three assessments for
three acres.

City Administrator Schnelle said whatever the council decides, it should be
contingent on working out the problems with the lots on Geranium.

C/July 8, 1980
Page 6
