Motion by Councilman Cox and seconded by Councilman $orteberg to adjourn <br />the meeting. <br /> <br />Motion denied. Voting yes-Councilmen Cox and Sorteberg. Voting no-Mayor Gamec, <br />Councilmen Mickelson and Reimann. <br /> <br />9) Appointment of Audit Firm to do 1980 City Audit <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec said the estimated cost of Deloitte Haskins & Sells for professional <br />fees for the general audit of the city will be about $5,000. He said <br />they will probably have three people out here ne~t year and thei~ time will <br />probably be about 1/3 more because of the special assessments, etc. He <br />said he was really happy with this firm because they really check into <br />things and he feels they a~e well worth it. <br /> <br />Councilman Cox said this is a 20% increase fmom last year, but a lot of <br />those things they mentioned in their report didn't amount to much. <br /> <br />City Administrator Schnelle recommended staying with the auditors. <br />Special assessments are a very important concern and it i~ costly if they <br />are messed up. It is never going to be cheaper. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilman Cox and seconded by Councilman Sorteberg to hire <br />Deloitte, Haskins & Sells to do the 1980 City Audit for an amount not to <br />exceed $5,000. <br /> <br />Motion camried. Voting yes-Mayor Gamec, Councilmen Sorteberg, Reimann, <br />Mickelson and Cox. Voting no-None. <br /> <br />10) Bond Sale <br /> <br />Motion by Councilman Sorteberg and seconded by Councilman Mickelson to <br />adopt Resolution #80-67 Authorizing Bond Sale and "3setting Sale Date <br />for July 29, 1980 at 5:00 P.M. at a special council meeting. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting yes-Mayor Gamec, Councilmen Sorteberg, REimann, <br />Mickelson and Cox. Voting no-None. Please refer to resolution file for <br />Resolution #80-67. <br /> <br />11 ) Landfill <br /> <br />City Attorney Goodrich said he would bring his figumes to the next council <br />meeting on July 22, 1980. <br /> <br />12) City of Ramse~ Board of Review Resolution #80-1 <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec said it appears the city's resolution reducing valuations. <br />does fall within the 1% requirement. <br /> <br />City Administrator Schnelle said the county is going to go out and reassess <br />the businesses. <br /> <br />C/July 8, 1980 <br /> Page 9 <br /> <br /> <br />
