PLANNING g ZONING COMMISSION City of Ramsey Anoka County State of Minnesota Public Hearing P & Z-1- 7/7/80' Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the City of Ramsey's Planning & Zoning Commission held a Public Hearing at the Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Blvd. N.W., Ramsey, Minnesota 55808, On July 7, 1980 to consider the application of John J. Janson for a conditional use permit for the purpose of operating a "General Rental Center". Members Present: Ken Peterson, Chairman Benjamin Deemer Amt Dunn Hamry Ellis Gerald Zimmerman Also Present: Clayton Berg (Building Official) Chairman Ken Peterson called the meeting to order at 7:40 p.m.'and explained the purpose of the meeting was for anyone who is interested to comment on the conditional use request of John Janson to operate a "General Rental Center" at 6745 Highway #10. Mr. John Janson, 9807 - 103rd Place Mr. Janson said he had been in touch with a company located in Ohio called "General Rental Systems Inc." which has the expertise in helping people set up their rental businesses. He said after getting in touch with these people and looking over the population in the area, he chose the building on the property at 6745 Highway ~10 N.W., which is legally described as Auditors Subdivision ~30, Plat 89324, Parcels ~3850 and 3950, due to the high traffic patterns there. The general equipment will be geared toward the homeowner; such as, roto tillers, plumbing needs, recreational needs, party needs, etc. Eventually, he will be getting into light equipment, tractors and trailers. He said he has discussed leasing it with the owners and they were very receptive to the idea. There was no public input.
