Chairman Peterson said the conditions will be those as stated in the <br />building permit and supporting materials that were supplied, and the <br />second set of conditions would be to limit the number of equipment items <br />to six on the center island and that the east access road be designated <br />as "entrance" and the west access road be designated as "exit". He asked <br />Mr. Janson what his hours of business would be. <br /> <br />Mr. Janson said the hours of business he is planning on are 8 a.m. to 7 p.m., <br />Monday thru Friday, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. on' Saturdays and he was not sure <br />about the Sunday hours yet. <br /> <br />Ben Deemer said he would like to see shields on the lights so cars going <br />by will not see the glare. He said this is in line with the city ordinance. <br /> <br />Chairman Peterson directed Building Official Berg to check on whether <br />or not there is a glare there. <br /> <br />Chairman Peterson suggested that shrubs be planted by the fenced area <br />facing Highway #10. <br /> <br />Mrs. Janson said she felt there would be a security problem with planting <br />the shrubs in this area. <br /> <br />Ben Deemer said he would like to see some improvement, but not necessarily <br />along the fence. <br /> <br />Chairman Peterson recommended some shrubs be planted near the building <br />and the storage area. <br /> <br />Motion by Chairman Pe~erson and seconded by Gerald Zimmerman to recommend <br />to the City Council that a conditional use permit be issued to Mr. Janson <br />to operate a "General Rental Center" at 6745 Highway #10 and that Mr. Janson <br />be allowed to display a maximum of six pieces of equipment in the center <br />island overnight and any other items would be displayed during office hours, <br />that the east driveway be used for "entrance" and the west driveway be used <br />for "exit", that the Building Official check for light glare and that <br />shrubs be planted near the office building and storage a~ea. <br /> <br />Motion carried 5-0. <br /> <br />2) Request for a Conditional Use Permit for a'Beauty~Shop Operation <br /> <br />in Her HOme; Case 'of Bonnie'Abel <br /> <br />Chairman Peterson gave Ms. Abel copies of the previous owner's Home Occupant <br />Permit Agreements with the city. <br /> <br />Chairman Peterson noted the ordinance states that the home occupation must <br />be carried on by a family member. <br /> <br />Building Official Berg said all "home occupations" are now considered <br />"special uses". <br /> <br />Chairman Peterson explained the city does not permit on-street parking of customers. <br /> <br />P g Z Regular Meeting Page 4 7/7/80 <br /> <br /> <br />
