City Administrator Schnelle suggested involving the City of Anoka, which owns <br />the land there. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec instructed city staff to invite a representative from the City of <br />Anoka to the September 15th meeting. <br /> <br />Mr. Gerald Stahnke, MPCA, said there is always a possibility that there could <br />be an underground fire when the methane gas is at the explosive levels. <br /> <br />Mr. Woelfel, Waste Managements, said there would-not be enough oxygen in <br />the soil for fire to continue b~rning and spread, however. <br /> <br />The discussion on the landfill ended at this point. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilman Cox and seconded by Councilman Reimann to direct staff <br />to set up guidelines for bonding of' roads in industrial & commercial areas. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting yes-Mayom Gamec, Councilmen Sorteberg, Reimann and Cox. <br />Voting no-None. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilman Cox and seconded by Councilman Reimann to adopt REsolution <br />#80-76 Regarding Metropolitan Waste Control commission Sanitary Sewer Interceptor <br />Line that will serve the' Southeast corner of Ramsey. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting yes-Mayor Gamec, Councilmen Sorteberg, Reimann and <br />Cox. Voting no-None. Please refer to resolution' file for~ Resolution #80-76. <br /> <br />City Engineer Raatikka said they are blacktopping. Golden Eagle Estates and <br />he asked if the city was going to blacktop 171st between Bison Street and <br />Golden Eagle Estates. He said the cost was about $1,000. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilman Reimann and seconded by Councilman Cox to have Street <br />Superintendent' Merle Mevisson' put Class V on' 171st between Bison Street <br />and Golden Eagle Estates. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting yes-Mayor Gamec, Councilmen Sorteberg, Reimann <br />and Cox. Voting no-None. <br /> <br />Motion by Counc~_lman Reimann and seconded by Councilman Cox to adjourn the <br />Special Council Meeting. <br /> <br />Motion carried.
