RAMSEY PARK AND RECREATION COMMISSION Special 'Meeting of September 28, 1980 The meeting was called to order at 7:10 P.M. Members present: Others present: Terry McLean, Dick Swanson, John Lichter, Dennis Donovan, Janice Johnson, Don Lokker and Greg Drake Mayor Tom Gamec and Ron Alwin from CED The report prepared by CED was reviewed and discussion was held regarding the scope of phase I in Central Park. After some discussion it was decided not to drop any items in Phase I but to add cable and post fencing along all interior roads to prevent vandalism to fields. At Titterud Park it was decided to cut the sprinkling system, add security light and backstop and keep the creative play area. Traprock improvements incl'uded fencing, a creative play area and one set of bleachers. Fencing around the creative play and parking areas was also suggested. At Peltzer Park post and cable fencing and a small shelter were suggested. It was decided to drop the nature trail on the bond issue. CED estimates the brochure graphics and mailing costs to be $3,000.00. It was noted that the brochure should be complete by October 1st. Dennis Donovan volunteered to form a committee to write the brochure with CED. A public information meeting was scheduled for Sepeember il, 1980 to discuss the bond issue proposal with RYAA, the Saddle Club, Community School, Lions Club, Hockey Ass'n and others.
